My name is Sofia and I’m a final year vet student in Bristol. My interest in research began during my first degree when I joined an international team of researchers investigating honeybee diseases within the One Health context.
I eventually initiated a new project that lead to my first published article on antibiotic use in honeybees. Since starting vet school INSPIRE has provided the space and funds for me to further explore my interest in research. The INSPIRE team has been so supportive and has allowed Bristol’s One Health society to reach more students whilst promoting interdisciplinary collaborations. I am incredibly grateful for the leadership roles I’ve been a part of through INSPIRE and their continued efforts in bringing us all closer to research.
